Very Bold
How can you reflect God’s love to them and/or advocate for the dignity and humanity of those on the margins?
2 Corinthians 3:12
Since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
Yesterday we talked about the heartbreak of waiting for a King who loves justice and equity. Today we’re reminded of what to do in the waiting: we get to be bold.
Loving justice and equity like Jesus, calls us to be in the margins with people who are disabled, people of color, immigrants, women, and folx who are LGBTQIA+ – not just in thought, but in action.
Perhaps you get to be a mirror to those in the margin and remind them of their divine creation and love in a world that tries to erase it.
Perhaps you are called to be a window and advocate for those in the margins to be seen with dignity and humanity.
The waiting is not passive. It is a call to be hopeful, act boldly, and stand where Jesus stands.
How can your faith and relationship with Jesus embolden you to be a window or mirror for people in the margins? How can you reflect God’s love to them and/or advocate for their dignity and humanity?
