2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord are being transformed
Even in the heartbreak of waiting, the glory of the Lord is still here.
I came to know the Lord through living with believers. They provided me a window into a life outside of my wildest dreams - one of peace, safety, and joy.
I continue to be transformed by the mirrors my community provides. They point at my faults with patience and ask me to try again. I am constantly learning and unlearning.
What if the King who loves equity and justice is not only coming—but is already here, in us? What if we are already equipped to bend the arc toward justice?
Community, when it is rooted in love, gives us both windows and mirrors. Jesus' teachings give us both windows and mirrors. Scripture is filled with windows and mirrors—showing us who God is and who we are becoming.
We are being transformed. We are part of the unfolding glory of God.
What does it mean to have an unveiled face? For me, it means to boldly share the heart of my King - the heart who builds equity and loves justice. What does it mean for you? How does it change the way you engage with others? Does it challenge you to be more honest, vulnerable, or bold in your faith and pursuit of justice?
