Luke 17:27
They were eating and drinking, and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed all of them.
It'll be like normal until destruction.
Things might look like normal to us. We'll still go to the grocery store, we will still go to our jobs, we will still experience the normal life experiences. And, those normal experiences do not mean that destruction is far away. It will look like normal until it's deeply not. It will look like nothing terrible is happening in our day-to-day life, until an $8 sheet of EVA foam for cosplay has an $83 shipping charge due to the tariffs. Until people die preventable deaths in a flash flood because of National Weather Service cuts. Until political dissent is punished by law and by disappearing people. Until it's us being taken off the street and put into a van as a fully law abiding citizen to be deported to a concentration camp.
It'll look like a normal day the day before destruction. We'll have made it seem like normal.
How can you remind yourself this isn't normal? What community can you talk to to remind yourself what it was like before?

Thank you, Terra.
Thank you. I really appreciate your emphasis on “until it isn’t.” We are all dreading what happens next.
