riding the rollercoaster
As you find yourself seeking comfort in routines today, what would it take for you to pause and release some of the comfort for the possibility of God's presence?
Ephesians 1:10
And this is the plan: At the right time Creator will bring everything together under the authority of Christ -- everything in heaven and on earth.
I am a planner - I love calendars, check lists, and color coordinated highlighters. It helps me feel in control of my day.
Part of it comes from being a 90s kid and part of it comes from living in an unpredictable home. Making plans helped me construct some sense of safety.
It confuses me that this verse from Ephesians is not comforting, and I think I know why. It’s because my plans comfort me, and God's feel unpredictable.
Somedays those plans in my life feel crystal clear. God’s presence, redemption, and healing even feels overwhelming.
Most days though?
Most days I feel overwhelmed, scattered, and lost. So where are God's plans then? God’s timing feels like a rollercoaster.
As you find yourself seeking comfort in routines today, what would it take for you to pause and release some of the comfort for the possibility of God's presence?
