rhythm of prayer
How can you incorporate moments of prayer into your life in a more authentic way?
Luke 18:1
Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart.
Prayer is a powerful, mysterious, and sometimes difficult thing.
For many, it can be easy to become discouraged by our perceived failure of expectations for prayer — not praying enough, not praying "correctly," not knowing how to pray.
The phrase "pray always" can certainly sound intimidating, perhaps implying a monk-like perpetual state of prayer. But the Greek wording and the parable itself actually imply a meaning of consistency and perseverance, not merely frequency of volume. Prayer, communing with God, is really about quality, not quantity — developing a consistent habit in one’s life rhythm to intentionally connect with God.
