making space for curiosity
Mark 8:32-33

It is generally understood that Peter rebukes Jesus because of his claim that he will be rejected and killed, announcing the loss of Peter's friend and hopes. What if Peter rebuked him because he couldn’t fathom Jesus being at such odds with the religious institution? What if by eschewing the leadership and suffering rejection and death, Jesus disappointed Peter’s expectations of a Messiah?

How can you let go of assumption and pride to make more space for curiosity and wonder in your life and faith?
