Psalm 147:11
God covers the sky with clouds;
God supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills.
Yesterday we spent time with the Israelites who quickly forgot God’s provision.
Psalm 147 is another example of a Creator who provides. This Psalm asks us to give God our gratitude for all the things that do work.
It’s an invitation to step away from the complaining spirit of the Israelites and begin to list all the good things in our lives.
In a season of deep depression keeping a daily “Top 3” gratitude list grounded me. Sometimes it was as simple as the smell of fresh rain or a beautiful sunset. Today, let’s draw near to the big and small ways God provides us.
