In Our Waiting
What might it look like to trust the Creator’s vision, even when you can’t yet see the full picture?
Habakkuk 2:3
For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end and does not lie.
If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
The act of waiting is an act of trust. It’s choosing to believe that the Creator’s vision is unfolding, even when our eyes can’t yet perceive it. This isn’t waiting that leaves us empty-handed—it’s a waiting that holds space for possibility and transformation.
Habakkuk’s vision speaks to the mystery of the Creator’s timing. Sometimes, waiting looks like holding on to hope when progress feels invisible. Sometimes, it’s standing still long enough to let the soil of our hearts soften, readying us for what’s next.
This kind of waiting doesn’t dismiss our longing; it carries it tenderly, trusting that the Creator is already at work in ways beyond our understanding. In this waiting, we learn to release control and make peace with uncertainty, knowing that what They have promised will surely come.
