Judith 8:16
Do not try to bind the purposes of the Lord our God; for God is not like a human being, to be threatened, or like a mere mortal, to be won over by pleading.
This unwavering faith demonstrates to us that we must trust the timing of God. When we feel uneasy, or impatient, it becomes easy to try and rush God's plan. But much like Judith, we are called to wait in faith.
The wisdom of God surpasses our own, and God's deliverance will come at the perfect time.
As you go about your day, be aware of the times when impatience causes you to rush, and use that energy instead to pray and ask for faith and patience as God’s plan unfolds organically.
Where in my life right now do I feel the urge to rush or force an outcome? How can I be gentle with myself when impatience arises, seeing it as a signal to turn back to trust?
