easy to forget
Numbers 11:4
Some people with them began to wish for other food. Again the Israelites began to cry out. They said, “We wish we had meat to eat”.
I honestly think this is my favorite verse in the Bible. These Israelites – the ones complaining about meat – are my kindred spirit.
It’s hard to be content; it’s easy to forget.
These people were once slaves and now, wandering in the desert, they forget about their enslavement but remember the fish and cucumbers they once had.
Sometimes redemption can be like that – one can forget that they are made new or overwhelmingly loved by Jesus. It’s easy to lose sight of the Gospel in my life.
