discover freedom
Who are you in your fullness, radiance, and joy? How might you reveal that to others?
Psalm 146:8-9
God lifts up those who are bowed down;... God watches over the strangers; they uphold the orphan and the widow,
One of the gifts of queerness is getting to already experience The Rejection - that big thing that we fear from the moment we begin our socialization as infants. I’ve already found out what it means to be outcast, abhorred, and unloved. What is on the other side of that?
The Lord watches over the strangers.
The Lord upholds the orphan.
There is the freedom to be my most joyful and vibrant self. Because the Lord, they’ve got me. And I discovered I had so much more living to do.
I see the terror that is currently being stirred up against queer and trans people. What I see behind this movement is the fear of being unlovable and rejected.
Who would you be and what would you do if you weren’t afraid of being outcast?

Thank you so much for this. I literally just started to doubt if God can love my queerness and how the Bible can be used for homiphobuc rhetoric. Thank you so much, may God bless you always <3
