daily pursuit
1 Timothy 6:11
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
I love the word “pursue” here.
I want my redemption to be quick – as if eating one salad will give me health for all of my days. But alas, sweet friends, redemption is a long walk.
Some days you have more love and endurance. Some days God feels so close and so dear.
And other days? Gentleness may fly right out the window before the alarm buzzes and God may feel distant.
But pursue anyways. Pursue daily.
How can you make the pursuit of these virtues a daily priority, even with a busy schedule? What small, practical steps can you take toward daily pursuit?
