9.26.23 - Matthew 5:37
What areas of your life are in need of greater integrity? What's one way you might practice letting your yes be yes and your no be no today?
Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
As we work to build the muscles of our discipleship, we shouldn't neglect the posture of our heart.
It's easy to focus on rules or the way a ritual is practiced. It's simple to attend church without having to attend to our words and lives.
In these words from Scripture, we have a call to integrity, to a life of honesty and earnestness.
When we embrace the power of our words, we understand how it bonds us to a way of life together.
More so, when we can match our discipleship to those words, we live a life of integrity that honors God.
How does what you do mirror what you tell others you believe?
What's one way you want to act with integrity today?
