8.24.23 - Matthew 4:4
If someone were to ask you what three words make up the code you live by, what would tell them? How will you make these words a part of your life today?
But he answered, ‘It is written, “One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”’
Have you ever encountered a “hangry” person–someone who gets angry when they are hungry?
The person can be pleasant on a full stomach and will completely lose themselves when their belly is empty.
But, when we are filled with the food of the Spirit, the absence of material food does not lead to absence of the consciousness of who we are as children of God.
Food nor any other material thing has the power to give us life. Rather, the Spirit is what gives life to everything.
So, the next time you feel that something is missing from your life, remember that the life you’re looking for is the essence of who you are.
No thing is missing from your life, because when God speaks anything into being it is always from a place of fullness.
What are the marks of a full life for you? When you strip it all down, what do you actually need to experience an abundant life?
