8.16.23 - Revelation 19:9
How are you preparing yourself to live in alignment with love? What habits and actions reflection this preparation?
And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”
To be invited is to be asked and wanted.
“Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the lamb,” the author of revelation has received a vision for what the conclusion of “earth time” will look like.
In a delightful metaphor for the relationship between Jesus and his church, the culmination of the final times are imagined as a massive wedding feast.
To be invited, one has to show up with the kind of character that reflects the innocent lamb - not the vicious beast-like-character created by selfish ambition and ignorance of justice.
It’s the kind of invitation I want, for sure. To be found “worthy” of such a feast - not because I forced my value through any kind of earned proof; but because I chose to live a life that reflected the righteous deeds of the saints - actions in alignment with love.
How about you? Are you aiming for this kind of life?
