Acts 5:12
Now many signs and wonders were done among the people through the apostles.
How far would you go on an act of faith?
Many people talk about their faith – in religion, career, or other areas – but never act upon it. On the contrary, in this story, the people had faith that the impossible was possible.
As the disciples moved about sharing the good news, more and more people became attracted to the faith they displayed by word and action. They brought those who were sick and suffering to the disciples, believing that they could be healed by the simple casting of Peter’s shadow upon them.
This is a reminder that we can apply to our own lives: faith requires action. When we act on our faith, we bring what we want to accomplish closer to reality.
Think about a time when you felt unsure about acting on your faith. What doubts or hindrances were present? What do you believe you need to bolster your faith and compel you to action in the future?
