7.5.23 - Psalm 65:7
What feelings arise as you are reminded that, even in the midst of struggles, God is with you?
Psalm 65:7
You silence the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples.
At the ends of the earth, and the farthest seas, God is still there.
The author used one of the most dangerous places in the known world at the time – the roaring seas – as a metaphor for the struggles we might encounter in life. The illustration reminds us that God won't leave us, even in those places.
Throughout our lives, many people may leave us, or vice versa. This Psalm reminds us that God will always be with us no matter what.
In our hardest times, God will place a comforting hand on our shoulders. When we make mistakes, God will be there to tell us it is a learning experience and encourage us to keep going.
Keep going! God is with you every step of the way.
As you move through the day, pay close attention to reminders of God’s abiding presence in your life. What feelings arise as you are reminded that, even in the midst of struggles, God is with you?
