7.28.23 - 1 Corinthians 3:9
Reflect on times when you have felt a sense of collaboration with the divine in your life. How did this impact your outlook and actions?
1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
One of my favorite things about all the jobs I’ve ever had is my coworkers. These are the people I bounce off ideas, imagine new ways of doing things, go through the joys and pains of loving the world, vent when things go wrong, and do all the behind-the-scenes last-minute work when everything fails.
Paul tells the Corinthians that they are God’s coworkers in the building of the kin-dom of God. I love imagining God in her office, sharing new ideas, cracking jokes, venting, and adjusting to the universe’s printer breaking at the last minute.
This means we all get to tell God what we think, adjust to new realities with them, and create the work environment where we can thrive. I love being God’s coworker in their work. It makes the job so much more bearable and enjoyable.
