5.31.23 - John 14:12
What do your actions say about what you believe? What do you want them to say?
Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do
“Seeing is believing” is a true maxim in most cases, even as it’s a little complicated in our faith, as Jesus invites us to believe without seeing.
Though belief isn’t simply an acceptance of ideas that takes place in our hearts and minds; belief shapes the way we live, it’s displayed in actions, emulating the works of Jesus.
Our actions are what invites others to believe in Jesus, not the beliefs we say we affirm–perhaps this may be a reason for the sharp decline in American Christianity.
If someone were to ask you what you believed in, how would your actions answer their question?
What's one action you can commit to today so that others might experience your beliefs?
