4.6.23 - Mark 14:22-23
While they were eating, he took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them… Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, and all of them drank from it.
Each time we Gather, as we will this evening, we partake in communion — the remembrance and reenactment of this moment with Jesus and the disciples.
We all bring our own communion elements (sometimes crackers and juice, sometimes candy and cider), believing that whatever it is will be consecrated and blessed.
When the time comes, these words are spoken:
Jesus broke bread and drank wine
Spoke words that give us life,
To bless us as we journey together in faith.
God is with and among us.
Love embodied in relationships to one another.
Love embodied so we might learn, follow, and lead.
Love embodied over a common meal.
Love embodied in Christ and shared among us today.
As we eat and drink together,
We remember God’s love come to life in Christ and within us today. Amen

Reframe means taking a fresh look at an old story.
It’s a way of experiencing your world differently, even though the landscape may seem similar.
