4.28.23 - Psalm 34:14
Peace, at an individual level, is one antidote to anxiety. How might peace intersect and inform your anxieties today?
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
I long for peace - peace in my home, peace in my relationships, peace within myself.
The day to day of life, doing a lot of “life-ing” can make it hard to create and protect that peace.
Finding peace in my life has helped me see the world with more grace.
I can be blunt and maybe even a bit sharp. A dear friend once described my heart as being like a hedgehog - I’m quick to defend myself. Peace helps me find that half a second before I “hedge up.” It's that half second, when it happens, where peace helps shift my life and response.
As the verse reminds me, I must make the effort to seek peace in my life.
What brings you peace? How can you protect your peace? How can you pursue peace?
