4.21.23 - John 20:29
It's so easy to "other" someone rather than "another" them. What will you choose to do rather than dismiss another?
"Blessed are those who haven't seen me but believe"
Even in his presence, the apostles struggled with believing Jesus.
Having witnessed miracles, powerful teachings, sharing personal conversations with Christ, apostles still asked for more. Abandoning the awe they cultivated in their personal relationship, humans did what humans are prone to: doubt.
But the work is good, and the work is always here to explore and learn from: Jesus overcame death and still loved humanity.
That love is BIG -- so big that it's also our commandment, and our victory.
It's so big it can overcome our doubts.
It's so big it can maybe even inspire a little awe and grant us the wisdom to see each other the way we were created: intentionally, in Their image, and with the deepest, most infinite well of love.
It's so easy to "other" someone rather than "another" them. How might you experience those who cause you to doubt with a little more patience today? What will you choose to do rather than dismiss them?
