3.17.23 - Matthew 5: 23-24
What would it be like to simply see others as sacred? What if that were the first and most important label we could offer?
“So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your [sibling] has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your [sibling], and then come and offer your gift.”
This passage reminds me that people are the sacred stuff.
You can uphold the traditions, go through the liturgy and rituals, sing the best worship songs and hymns, and do whatever makes you feel closest to the Creator, but part of that ritual should include asking: have I taken care of my community?
Being in relationship and taking care of our folks is participating in worship...
it's one of the steps,
it's one of the tools,
it's part of the fabric of experiencing the Divine.
It's inseparable.
How are your relationships today? Who can you connect with a little deeper? Is there anything to take accountability for?
