2.9.24 - Jeremiah 9:17&18
What is a part of yourself that you have tried to hide, control, or tamp down that is actually your skill and gift to the world? How might you make room for that part of yourself today?
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider and call for the mourning women to come; send for the skilled women to come; let them quickly raise a dirge over us, so that our eyes may run down with tears and our eyelids flow with water.
Have you ever been reprimanded for being too emotional? Told to stop crying? Been afraid of being too much?
This one’s for you. In this passage, they are calling for the “skilled women” to come and create a scene where people can just bawl their eyes out because the community need to mourn.
Maybe you are not “too emotional,” maybe you have a skill. Maybe there is truth found through the ability to emote.
Sometimes our ministries come in unexpected packages;
I sometimes tease that my ministry is “to normalize crying in public” because I do it so frequently.
It’s a joke. But it also isn’t. Because making room for emotion is actually a strength of mine.
What is a part of yourself that you have tried to hide, control, or tamp down that is actually your skill and gift to the world? How might you make room for that part of yourself today?

This means a lot to me. I'm incredibly sensitive, and only really a month ago I realized that it's honestly a gift from God! I've always thought that at least the Lord and Jesus may think that my sensitive heart is a good quality; amazing for loving my beautiful God and my beautiful neighbors. Thank you always, may God always bless you and your path with Their Love abundantly 💛💐
