2.1.24 - 1 Corinthians 12:7
Take a moment and name or write a few of your gifts. When you say those words, which one strikes you as being needed today in whatever spaces you inhabit?
To each person is given the manifestation of the Spirit for mutual good.
The passage about spiritual gifts talks about how we're all made uniquely with our own gifts and strengths, but those strengths, however different, all come from the same Source.
Personally, the meat of this passage isn't about how all our gifts come from the Creator. What resonates with me the most is that whatever gifts you possess, fricken use them.
Use them, and use them for the good of others.
What good are those strengths and gifts, regardless of where they come from, if you don't use them to better the lives, respect the humanity, and protect the dignity of others?
I mean, I don't know about you but changing hearts is not a job I am equipped to do; that's the work for the Creator. The only job I can do on earth is help people get free.
