1.31.24 - Psalm 103:12
In middle of everything going on around you, what's the good news you need to remember about yourself today?
as far as the east is from the west, so far She has removed our transgressions from us.
My favorite part of this verse is the imagery.
East and West being opposing cardinal directions -- conceptually, you can't get any farther apart!
And what's more, they extend (in theory) in opposite directions forever.
For me, this is a great place to return to when I struggle with self worth and identity.
When trauma tells me I'm something I'm not...
when regrets and shortcomings feel like that's all I'll ever be...
the truth is that my worth and identity are fixed and cardinally opposed to all the things I wish I could take back or change.
Sometimes a negative bias can pull us away from remembering our worth and value. While we can't remove those negative moments, we can hold them in tension with the good.
In middle of everything going on around you, what's the good news you need to remember about yourself today?
