Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments.
Can you accept unfailing love?
Meditate on all of the spaces where you feel that love cannot reach and wonder, “Where is love here? How can I see love here?
And then declare, “Even though I cannot see it, I know love is here. Because God is love and there is nowhere that God is not.
The Gospel of the Cross says that the love that never fails outshines the darkest thing that could ever happen to us. It is tragically beautiful and the highest form of artistic expression to create something out of nothingness and judge it as good.
If the Creator can take the suffering of Jesus and turn it into liberation, that same unfailing love can take all our failings and create something worthy of praise.
What is something that you’ve experienced or witnessed that demonstrates the power of unfailing love?
How might you expose others to that same unfailing love today?
