Sing to God; sing praises to their name; lift up a song to God who rides upon the clouds—be exultant before them.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t sing. Not very well at least. In my car you’ll catch me belting out whatever Spotify feeds me from my playlists, but only when I’m alone.
So, this idea of lifting up a song seems far off and foreign to me. However, there has to be some way of expressing exultation. Some way of expressing jubilation, excitement, or praise that doesn’t involve emotional manipulation (not that all songs are intended to do that).
As we wind down our first full year of ReFrame’s existence, I look back at all of the beautiful things our authors have put out in the world.
Their words, their commitments, their experiences are the songs I hear these days. In less than 150 words each morning they lift up possibilities for each and every one of us if we take the time to sing along.
To me, there is no greater music for my eyes, ears, and hands than what they’ve created. So, I am heading toward the end of this year thankful, excited, and hopeful for tomorrow.
