But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy.
So often I get stuck on what’s not going right. My brain seems to default to incomplete things on my to do list and missed opportunities.
It’s enough sometimes to make life feel burdensome. There’s guilt, frustration, and even some shame thrown in from time to time. I personalize my defeats, and corporatize my wins.
I need to remember those wins because they are seeds of joy. Faith feels like such a win-lose proposition sometimes. I do it ‘right’ or ‘wrong.’
I wonder, if even for a brief moment, I could set aside the accomplishments and sit with the joy.
The joy of building this platform with wonderful writers and a burgeoning community. The joy of finding ways to share the good news our authors write that could help shape our lives and communities.
The joy of just being someone, even as I am becoming someone more and different and new.
No questions, no prompts this week. Just a time to rest and reflect.
