12.12.23 - Mark 1: 37
How can you prepare yourself for the moments that change the way you see the world and call you to a new way of being?
When they found him, they said to him, “Everyone is searching for you.”
Do you remember a moment in your life when you got life-changing good news? Can you recall a moment when you were surprised by joy, goodness, fullness, healing, or connection?
You want to stay in that place forever.
The people surrounding Jesus in this passage are experiencing The Advent, Jesus is the arrival of something so good they want to be in his presence forever.
A friend reminded me this week that when we talk about “being prepared,” we’re implying “for bad things to happen.”
During this season of waiting and Advent, I want to prepare for goodness so that when it comes, I recognize it, trust it, celebrate it, and welcome it in.
How can you prepare yourself for the moments that change the way you see the world and call you to a new way of being?
