From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
Momentum is a serious force of nature.
It moves snow down a mountain side, into an avalanche.
Momentum moves people in a crowd, pulsing forward.
Momentum carries rain down a mountain, becoming streams, creeks, rivers (sometimes even carving its way through rock), until suddenly it hits a dam!
Momentum meets an immovable object, and the force of that meeting brings momentum to a halt.
“Repent!” was the word dam Jesus built against the momentum that was carrying people away from the Kin-dom of God.
Turn Around! Change Direction! Change your mind. Change your behavior. Learn anew what it means to follow God.
All of these are captured in the invitation Jesus gave to repent. It wasn’t a threat, as it's often used today. It was a call to clarity and to choice. Do not be swept along, decide which way you want to go.
How does momentum normally affect your day? Do you find yourself being carried along by the events that occur around you?
What small something could you do to help you decide whether you want to be swept away or make a change?

Why ReFrame?
The idea comes from psychology. It means to take a fresh look at an old story.
That's the reason for the 'Imagine' button. We want to offer you the chance to make a statement about what you experience in a frame and how it might help shape your day.
