11.23.23 - Matthew 6:22-23
We can measure our mindset by how stuck in survival brain and self-sabotaging habits we are. If you’re stuck there, what's one thing you want to try today to adjust the lamp (mindset) to your body?
“The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
How do you see?
What influences what you see?
Modern interpretation may consider Matthew’s reference to the health of the eye to be equivalent to mindset and perspective.
How do you perceive the world? Is your mindset a healthy one?
If your perspective is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, if your mindset is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. Like a lamp, a healthy perspective and mindset gives light to the whole body.
It can turn on the aligned thinking of the self, or it it can eliminate the source of healthy responses.
Let’s do an electricity check on your mindset: how are you doing today? Constantly on loop for negativity, excuses or pessimism? Or are you in a posture of curiosity, connection and compassion? How can you adjust the lamp to your body?
One of the ways to measure our perspective and mindset is to gauge whether we may be stuck in survival brain and self-sabotaging habits.
If you’re repeatedly getting stuck in that mind space, what's one thing you want to try and do today to help adjust the lamp (mindset) to your body?
