We receive personalized messages from retailers. Facebook enables those in our networks to “like” our updates and invites us to events.
Technology has made it easy to mimic the small gestures that can amplify a real sense of community. Yet, do we really feel included?
For me, nothing beats a personal invitation. It demonstrates intentionality and effort. It demonstrates that the person inviting is preparing for my arrival.
Invitations make me feel special, valued, and an important part of another's life.
As we gather with family and friends this week… how can we be intentional and extend invitations to those that are not already a part of our circle?
