God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Scripture tells the story of the death Korah suffered after rebelling against Moses and Aaron.
This Psalm attributed to the sons of Korah, remind us that we have a God who redeems. In their song they express the highest praise & devotion in recognition of God's redemptive power.
For me, this is a psalm about grace & humility & human fragility.
Psalm 46 is often referred to as a song of holy confidence, written for those of us seeking refuge or help. It points us toward respite during difficult periods in our lives.
As we try and live into our faith in a world that can feel hostile, Psalm 46 is a powerful declaration of strength and refuge.
What would it look like for you to commit to seeking strength and refuge with God today? What would a one sentence commitment to resting with God look like for you today?
