“Yet you, O Lord, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name.” - Jeremiah 14:9
This fall has hit me hard; I feel so stressed. I feel like my soul barely catches up with my body as I try to keep up with the needs of each next thing. And most people in my life also express that they are feeling especially overwhelmed this season. I think maybe we all are societally Having a Hard Time. When I hear these words, “yet you, O Lord, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name,” my soul takes a pause. Ah. Is that something you, too, needed to hear? How are you affected when you remember that?
What does it mean to you to be called by God’s name?
How might you make more opportunities to notice and/or make room for God in the midst of life with you?

There's hearing and there's listening. Sometimes, I hear but don't listen. Today, is a day to try listening, to hear what the winds are telling me.
