10.13.23 - Matthew 18:14
Who haven't you heard from in a while? This weekend, take a moment and reach out, remind them that they are seen, heard, and loved.
So it is not the will of God that one of these little ones should be lost.
It's been a hard week, and there will be harder ones still ahead.
The world will begin to fill up with the lost and the traumatized.
Even I wonder if what we do here is enough.
Is it enough to challenge our complacency?
Is it enough to hope the world can be a better place by challenging each of us to do our part in our small corners?
Is it enough, is anything ever enough? I honestly don't know, and I'm frustrated and scared and sometimes lost.
And, verses like this one call me home again. It's a reminder that those who justify their violence with theology and scripture are liars.
Because God wants nothing more than for us to find one another.
Find one another and rejoice.
Rejoice because we belong again.
Who haven't you heard from in a while? This weekend, take a moment and reach out, remind them that they are seen, heard, and loved.
